Accessibility to AI and Robotics Education with Innovative Tools

AI is no longer a word of science fiction today. In the form of smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, and many more, it has become an indispensable part of people's existence. Zumi robotic cars are capable of identifying objects, recognizing hand gestures, and learning how to navigate on an interactive track to an optimal route to a destination. The Zumi robotic car sports all the hardware necessary for an AI vehicle, including a Raspberry Pi Zero, a pair of DC motors, an OLED display of 128x 64, Pi Camera, and a host of sensors.

Robolink equipped the Zumi platform with industry-relevant tools used in the development of most self-driving vehicles, such as the open source tensor flow machine learning and the programming library for OpenCV computer vision. This is used to train Zumi to drive the test track autonomously.

Users can program Zumi through the web-based drag-and-drop IDE or Python from Robolink, and more advanced developers can write their own code for self-driving vehicle experiments using TensorFlow or Keras. The AI platform also has interactive tutorials to help programmers, robotics, and AI. Zumi is a nice addition to the already crowded robotics and programming education tools field that will help differentiate them by emphasizing AI and self-driving car angles.
